Whether you’ve found your venue already on NightScanner, want to add something new or just need to fix a detail, here’s how it works.
NightScanner is built around what’s already happening across Sydney, so we may have created a basic venue or event listing from publicly available information. Claiming it lets us verify that you’re connected to the business and gives you a way to keep that information accurate.
Your existing listing stays right where it is. Once we’ve verified your connection to the venue, you’ll be able to manage the information associated with it and help keep your events, specials and venue details up to date.
Yes. If you’re the organiser, promoter or host of an event, you can claim the event itself without taking control of the venue’s listing.
We’ll ask for enough information to confirm that you’re authorised to manage the listing. This may be through a business email or a few additional details. Verification helps protect venues from unauthorised changes.
Please tell us. If you manage the venue or event, claiming the listing is the best way to keep it accurate. If you’ve spotted something that simply needs correcting, you can also contact us and we’ll take a look.
Yes. Once you’re connected to your venue, the idea is that your regular events, specials and other reasons to visit can sit alongside your venue listing — not just the events we’ve already discovered.
Listings shouldn’t hang around pretending something is still happening when it isn’t. Finished or changed events can be updated or removed so people are seeing useful, current information.
No. A standard NightScanner venue listing and your regular events can be listed for free. We may introduce optional promotional opportunities for venues that want additional visibility, but you won’t need to pay simply to be listed.
